We've had 2 different events that we (i) "slacked" on writing up. Its not so much that i'm lazy even though i am, rather, without photos to its hard to write a motivating inspiring blog. Having said that the events were certainly uplifting to say the least even if i can't articulate it.
The funday as per the trend, was standing room only and a great time was had by all. New faces as well as old came out to enjoy the shoot. With no formal activities scheduled - shoot, eat, drink and talk was the agenda for the day. The sniper challenge will be back for the next funshoot, thats where you lay big money down ($1) and shoot your best unsupported group at a +55 yard target; Winner gets bragging rights and a valuable prize.
The 4/19 FT match was more of a FT style plinking session. With a few of us away for the big match down south, we only had 9 shooters and as such, everyone agreed to set up an “abbreviated” course. Greg T squadded with new Junior shooter Meneeva; that girl CAN SHOOT ! She had never used a scope before, but once she figured it out, she was awesome! The word on the street is all the old timers are in her sights, she now loves F.T. and is a shooting machine. Her dad says a new rifle is in the near future. PCP class was won by Ron (from Sacramento) with an EV-2 and at his first ever F.T. match, he beat Guy by one hit! Yaawza, another ringer. Anybody can beat anybody on any given sunday on the FT field, all you need is a little practice.
Over in Springer land Paul Booker has been lying in wait, Paul got his First win of the season with a 21 out of 34 on the "shortened" course, Doug was second with 19 and Eric had 17. Congratulations Paul.
